Before you decide whether to move or stay in the city where you may have lived for years, ask yourself: What is most important to you? Do you want to be near family and friends? Do you prefer the city or the country? Do you want to stay in a familiar area, or strike out for someplace new? At Moldaw, you can live in the heart of it all. Our central location puts us near all of the cultural attractions of the Bay Area, and the shopping, dining and parks of Palo Alto are within walking distance. Best of all, our unique intergenerational community is located on the Taube Koret Campus for Jewish Life, with the vOshman Family Jewish Community Center, Schultz Cultural Arts Hall, fitness center with pools and an award-winning preschool right in our town center.

The key here is to start early – and to have several conversations. Whether you’re looking for a community for yourself or for a family member, you’ll want to keep in mind that the other person or people may take some time to adjust to the idea. If you’re helping a family member find a new place to live, it’s also good to keep in mind that they need to be involved in the decision and stay in control of the situation. If it’s your children you’re talking to about the move, you may want to have them visit the community.
